Evolving Circles #01 Family Growth
Each generation every child in the family creates his own family (new circles). After they are fully grown they move to a new home and start their own family
The number of new children is determined by the growstrength of the parent and the number of syblings. More syblings = more competition for resources = reduced growstrength of the children.
The lower the growstrength of a new adult circle the less children it will get, but those children will be able to get all resources thus growing stronger and will have more children then its parent.
ATM it uses sprites, so it will eat processing power very fast since the number of circles expand exponentially. A limit is set to allow for 400 families. I will be working on making a processor friendly version using bitmapdata and the ability for children to die due to undernourishment.
After youtube decided to remove some of my video’s because of copyright infringement, I decided to use Vimeo as a new host for my video’s. Vimeo allows for more creative freedom.
My first video posted on Vimeo is a remix of Stanley Kubrick’s – 2001 a space odyssey and Aphex Twin’s – Girl/Boy Song (Redruth Mix)
Super computer HAL freaking out from Jochem Toolenaar on Vimeo.
